A Message from Principal Jay Wildman

Welcome to Washington Veale Elementary!

Washington Veale Elementary will empower students to Imagine, Achieve, and Master skills needed for success in a rapidly changing, diverse, and technical society. Our Mission, as a staff, is to provide the highest quality educational experience for all our students by creating a safe, nurturing environment where students can reach their full potential.  

Each school year is full of opportunities for growth.  A school is a place for teachers put every effort toward the preparing of our students for lifelong learning by making sure we are teaching age and grade level appropriate Indiana Academic Standards as well as character, social, and emotional skills.  

At Washington Veale Elementary we believe all students are capable of success, NO EXCEPTIONS!  Our school might be small in number of students but it is big and mighty in so many other positive ways.  Washington Veale Elementary has a tradition of excellence.  The connection between families and the school is a key asset to that tradition.  There is a palpable family feeling at Washington Veale Elementary School.  

We encourage families to watch for communication from teachers, peruse the corporation and school website at WashingtonCommunitySchools.org and join the messaging app that teachers use to communicate with parents.  Information about the app will be sent home if you don't already have it.

The staff at Washington Veale Elementary is wonderful to work with and they pour their time and their hearts into caring for and nurturing their students.  The teachers will communicate with families in a variety of ways.  We encourage families to reach out to their teachers or the principal if they have questions or concerns.
